The 14 Days East to West Motorcycle Expedition is designed for experienced riders seeking Bhutan’s most complete overland motorcycle journey.
Begin in remote eastern Bhutan and ride west through Mongar, Bumthang, Trongsa, Phobjikha, Punakha and Thimphu before crossing Chele La into Haa Valley.

This expedition includes remote regions and long riding days. The route may be adjusted for flight changes, road closures, weather, rider safety or operational requirements.
Essential Rider Information
Valid Licence
Riders must hold a valid motorcycle licence and any internationally recognised permit required for the tour.
Advanced Experience
Riders must be comfortable with long days, mountain bends, steep gradients and changing surfaces.
Protective Equipment
A certified helmet, protective jacket, gloves, trousers and suitable riding boots are strongly recommended.
Remote Regions
Some sections have limited services and accommodation. Flexibility and an expedition mindset are important.
Changing Conditions
Weather, roadworks and mountain conditions can change quickly, requiring route or schedule adjustments.
Travel Insurance
Insurance must cover motorcycle touring, medical treatment, trip disruption and emergency evacuation.
