THE JOURNEY

A Gentle Trek through Central Bhutan

The Gangtey Nature Trek offers an accessible introduction to trekking in Bhutan, combining moderate walking with traditional villages and peaceful forest landscapes.

Begin in the glacial Phobjikha Valley, known for its open wetlands, Gangtey Monastery and winter population of black-necked cranes.

The trail continues through forests, mountain passes and rural settlements toward Gogona and Khotokha before descending to the warmer valleys near Punakha.

An excellent choice for travellers seeking a shorter, lower-altitude trek with nature, culture and village life.
