DAY 01 Arrival in Paro and Transfer to Thimphu +
Meet your Evara Travel guide at Paro International Airport and travel through the river valley to Thimphu. Enjoy a relaxed orientation after checking into your hotel.
DAY 02 Discover Thimphu +
Visit the Buddha Dordenma, Memorial Chorten and selected cultural centres. Explore Bhutanese arts, crafts and local life in the capital.
DAY 03 Thimphu to Bumthang +
Take a scheduled domestic flight to Bumthang, subject to weather and airline operations. After arrival, explore selected sacred sites in Bhutan’s spiritual heartland.
DAY 04 Bumthang to Mongar +
Begin the scenic journey east across high mountain passes, forested slopes and changing landscapes. Arrive in Mongar and settle into your accommodation.
DAY 05 Mongar Tshechu Festival +
Attend the Mongar Tshechu and witness sacred masked dances, ritual performances and community celebrations. Your guide will explain the spiritual stories and symbolism.
DAY 06 Mongar Culture and Surrounding Villages +
Continue the festival experience where the programme permits, then explore Mongar Dzong, nearby villages and eastern Bhutanese traditions.
DAY 07 Mongar to Trashigang +
Travel east through dramatic mountain landscapes to Trashigang. Visit Trashigang Dzong or explore the town after arrival, depending on the festival schedule.
DAY 08 Trashigang Tshechu Festival +
Join communities from across eastern Bhutan for sacred dances, traditional music and colourful celebrations at the Trashigang Tshechu.
DAY 09 Trashigang to Trashiyangtse +
Travel to Trashiyangtse and visit Chorten Kora, traditional craft workshops and selected cultural sites. Return to Trashigang or stay locally according to the final route.
DAY 10 Eastern Bhutan to Paro +
Transfer to Yonphula Airport for a scheduled flight to Paro, subject to weather and airline operations. The itinerary will be adjusted if flights are unavailable.
DAY 11 Discover Paro Valley +
Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong, the National Museum and selected valley landmarks. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon after the journey across eastern Bhutan.
DAY 12 Tiger’s Nest Monastery Hike +
Hike through pine forest to Taktsang Monastery, dramatically positioned on a cliff above Paro Valley. Finish with an optional hot-stone bath or farewell evening.
DAY 13 Departure from Paro +
Transfer to Paro International Airport with assistance from your guide and depart Bhutan with memories of its remote eastern festivals and welcoming communities.
