Essential Rider Information
Valid Licence
Riders must hold a valid motorcycle licence and any internationally recognised permit required for the tour.
Riding Experience
Riders should be confident with steep gradients, mountain bends, variable surfaces and high-altitude roads.
Protective Equipment
A certified helmet, protective jacket, gloves, trousers and appropriate riding boots are strongly recommended.
High Altitude
Chele La is at high elevation. Stops, hydration and riding pace will be managed according to individual comfort.
Mountain Weather
Conditions can change quickly. Waterproof riding gear and warm layers should be carried each day.
Travel Insurance
Insurance should specifically cover motorcycle touring, medical care and emergency evacuation.
